Who am I?
Working mostly with film and painting, my art focuses on social and interpersonal decay. Portrayed through methods of gruesomeness, body horror, and heartbreak, I strive to achieve the forgotten fears of oneself.
In my practice, there is an emphasis on personal experiences that I try to relate to a grander audience. My goal is to start a conversation about the danger of a hyper-individualistic society and its effects on mental well-being.
I work primarily in film, taking a more of a classical approach to storytelling and providing a fictional base for a subject of conversation. With a grand passion for storytelling, cinematography and editing, I try to emerge from the audience in the storyline of my film. In a sense, my work is a reflection of myself in the way I perceive my own existence as well as the way others view me.
Taking apart the concept of decay and rebuilding it to emphasize the psychological state rather than a physical state, I am captivated by the ongoing research on the human psyche and its development in a harsh environment.
Although becoming a prisoner of negativity and its allure, I take grand interest in the means of survival. To the naked eye, I want my work to disturb, to wonder and be left in fear, yet have lingering feelings further on as the viewer progresses in their day to day life.
