This exhibition is a visual reinterpretation of the symbolic, invisible and hidden violence depraving one from the need of community, safety and sense of belonging.

Monstra Duplica began as an exploration of the complexity and torture behind the “freak shows” and their voluntary mockery of disadvantaged individuals.
Through sewing of the organs, one becomes two and two become none, as all those forcibly becoming the “freaks” of the show have lost all they knew to be defining of “human”.
